ABOUT HONG MENG ACADEMY
More Than Learning Chinese
Hong Meng Academy, Singapore’s first culture-powered learning centre where language, culture and thinking come together, supported by and in partnership with local associations, schools and communities.
Through MOE-aligned Chinese Tuition, brain-building Weiqi (Go) and Chinese Cultural Aesthetics, we help children build stronger language skills, deeper cultural connections and a broader way of seeing the world.
As a cultural hub for the local community, Hong Meng Academy also offer adult Weiqi (Go) and Calligraphy classes, providing a meaningful space for residents to cultivate focus, find balance and deepen their appreciation of Chinese culture.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Chinese Is More Than a Language
Many children don’t dislike Chinese — they simply haven’t discovered the culture, beauty and wisdom behind it.
At Hong Meng, we believe Chinese is more than a language. It is a culture, an art and a way of thinking.
That belief inspired us to create a Culture-Powered learning environment where children can understand better, enjoy learning and grow with confidence.
OUR APPROCH
Learning Through Language, Culture & Thinking
Our 3 KEYS™ approach brings together three essential dimensions of learning:
Language · Culture · Thinking
Through Chinese tuition, Weiqi (Go), Calligraphy and Cultural Aesthetics, children develop not only academic skills, but also confidence, focus, creativity and character.
